Singen (Hohentwiel), January 14, 2026 – The Singen site is set to play an even greater role in the European supply network of Miller Electric. With the construction of a new central warehouse and a new administration building at the headquarters of Orbitalum Tools GmbH, the site is being expanded to create additional capacity for sustainable growth and efficient logistics.
For several years, Miller Electric’s European central warehouse has been integrated into the Orbitalum site in Singen. The planned expansion will further strengthen the location and provide the infrastructure needed to support reliable and efficient supply processes across Europe.
Miller Electric and Orbitalum Tools are both part of the Welding segment of the US-based conglomerate Illinois Tool Works (ITW), which generates annual revenues of approximately $1.75 billion. The close integration at the Singen site creates synergies within ITW Welding and underlines the strategic importance of the location for the group’s European activities.
At the same time, Singen serves as the central hub for Orbitalum Tools’ international operations. From here, branches in the USA, China, Singapore, and the Middle East, as well as customers and partners worldwide, are supplied efficiently and reliably. The expansion aims to further optimize logistics and delivery processes, increase product availability, and secure global supply in the long term.
The investment in the new warehouse and administration building therefore represents more than an expansion of Orbitalum’s headquarters: it strengthens Singen as an important European logistics and business location for both Miller Electric and Orbitalum Tools and creates the foundation for further growth within ITW Welding.
